The Big Idea:

Illumination was in desperate need for additional space as they had outgrown their existing facility and had already taken all of the smaller spaces available in the adjacent buildings. With A new space opening up just around the corner, it was a great opportunity to stay local and get new digs. The new space provided flexibility and much needed additional square footage.

The Process:

Working with Loescher Meachem Architects and Andy Waisler from 11KPS, we were tasked with development of the Technology infrastructure design drawings. This included working with the client to identify the Security, Audiovisual, and Telecom requirements and developing the infrastructure for all three technologies. We…

• Handled technology design, bidding, and management for all telecom, AV and security needs
• Managed the coordination effort between Technology Systems, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
• Planned and oversaw the installation of the structured communications cabling system (SCCS)
• Planned and oversaw the installation of the access control system and IP-based surveillance system
• Planned and oversaw the installation of the Audiovisual systems

The Result:

A high-tech environment that invites and encourages collaboration in a very unique space.
