The Big Idea:

AwesomenessTV, a global media company with more than 500 employees, needed a fully functioning production and post-production facility that encouraged collaboration and creativity and reflected its company culture. In collaboration with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, ITS Design Group developed AwesomenessTV’s 78,000 square-foot facility into a two-level, campus-like environment with an open-ceiling design and the technological infrastructure to support a wide variety of media projects.

The Process:

Incorporating complex low-voltage systems into an open-ceiling design is no simple feat. To pull it off successfully, we…

• Worked closely with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill throughout the nine-month design and planning process
• Designed the infrastructure for the audiovisual systems
• Designed the security system and infrastructure
• Designed the structured communications cabling systems and infrastructure
• Carefully coordinated the low-voltage systems to ensure they’d stay in the background out of site

The Result:

By the end of the project, AwesomenessTV had a stunning, one-of-a-kind facility — and ITS Design Group received a 2018 Los Angeles Architectural Award from the Los Angles Business Council for our work.
